In India, the company’s product offerings include 2G, 3G and 4G wireless services, mobile commerce, fixed line services, high-speed home broadband, DTH, enterprise services (including national & international long distance services to carriers). It is a Private telecom operator in India. Airtel has recently become India's first telco to showcase 5G over a live commercial network in Hyderabad.

Bharti Airtel had more than 403 million subscribers in all of its operations at the end of March 2019. The Company is seventh in the ranking of the top 10 telecommunications firms in India.

Jio does not provide 2G or 3G services and only uses voice over LTE to deliver voice services on its network. The company is second in the ranking of the top 10 telecommunications firms in India.

As of 31 May 2019, it is the largest mobile network provider in India and the third largest mobile network operator in the world with more than 322.99 million subscribers.

• Jio was the first telecommunications provider to offer a free 4G service called LTE that ensures high-speed broadband, which is faster than 2G and 3G.
• Jio's call is entirely dependent on Voice over, known as VoLTE, which provides high-quality call services.
• Jio provides its users with free calls and SMS services in their postpaid and prepaid plans. But as per the TRAI law, the maximum number of messages can only be 100.
• Jio offers free roaming services across the world, while the others bill for the same.

Demerits

• There are no competitive data plans, such as Rs. 50/GB. And one has to recharge a tariff package for calling and texting services.

Vodafone Idea Limited

Vodafone Idea Limited is a collaboration of the Aditya Birla Group and Vodafone Group. It is India's largest supplier of telecommunications services.

The Company has the highest spectrum holding among all Indian telecommunications operators, containing 1,849.6 MHz spectrum across 22 circles, of which 1,714.8 MHz is a liberalized spectrum.

The Company offers voice and data connectivity through the 2G, 3G and 4G networks.

As of March 31, 2019, the company's subscription base was 368.3 Mn (on VLR), with a subscriber market share of 36.0 per cent, the highest in the industry. It is the No 1 top telecommunications firm in India 2020 based on market share.
