Royal Challengers Bangalore: A History of RCB
Rahul Dravid was the OG star player of Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was the team captain in 2008, under whom the team won 7 out of 8 total matches. However, the captaincy then passed to Kevin Pietersen, Anil Kumble, Daniel Vettori, and then India's latest cricket pride, Virat Kohli. Kohli, who managed to lead the team to the runners-up position in 2016, only recently gave up his position to Faf du Plessis, who will be the captain this year.
RCB has had a long history of rivalry with some of the other popular teams, like Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, or Chennai Super Kings, either because of almost winning the cup against them, or the general public pitting them against each other.
